The Great Lakes Parliamentary Forum on Peace-AMANI Forum is deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Dr Tajudeen. The sudden death of Dr. Tajudeen Abdul-Raheen, the Deputy Director of the UN Millennium Campaign for Africa and Secretary-General of the Pan-African Movement, on 25 May, 2009 is a great loss to the Civil Society body, and Africa. His great work and also his drive for Africa unity will be greatly missed. AMANI Forum has had the honor of working with Dr. Tajudeen and will miss his input both as a friend and as a colleague towards achieving peace in the Great Lakes Region. May the spirit of Pan-Africanism be renewed in us, as a tribute to a great Pan-African.
