Key activities:
1. Participation in AMANI Regional activities: MPs from the DRC
* Participated AMANI Regional Consultation on the AU/UN International Conference on the Great Lakes Region; AMANI 2004 General Assembly; and AMANI Regional Consultation on the DRC Transition.
* Inter-Parliamentary Dialogue with AMANI Uganda and Rwanda.
* On 10-11 May 2006, AMANI-DRC participated in a conference and the launch of the Great Lakes Ecumenical Forum where the Chapter was interacted with faith-based organisations in the Great Lakes Region through FECCLAHA. The conference provided an opportunity for the Chapter to participate in strategies aimed at building relationship of solidarity between Parliamentarians and faith organisations in promoting peace and democracy in the GLR

Achievements:
* Interaction with other parliamentarians in the region.
* DRC MPs are more aware of regional peace initiatives and the need for them to plug in and provide their contribution.
* Communiqué on follow up activities to ensure peace between Rwanda, DRC and Uganda released
* DRC Members are able to articulate key issues of peace and security that they feel should be supported by other regional parliamentarians.
